Science has done wonderful things for us. Pasteur discovered that germs cause disease. Lister found out a way of killing these germs. We thus live longer and healthier lives today. The discovery of anaesthetics or pain-killing drugs has made our operations painless.

Science has given us machines which do all our work for us. Tgese machine feed us, clothe us, carry us about, take our messages anywhere we like, give us pleasures and comforts. They have maade our lives easier and happier. Cars, planes, the radio, the television-set, Telstar and such other inventions have made the world one. People from different lands meet one another. They understand one another. They are united.

Thus science has made human life long, clean, painless, healthy, happy, easy and prosperous.
