City life is not a happy life. It is overcrowded
and noisy. It is dirty and smoky. It is hurried
and worried. It is full of vise. True, the city
gives us many comforts and pleasures. We find
in it schools, colleges, hospitals, markets, hotels,
cinemas, playgrounds and parks. If we have money,
we can get whatever we want in a city.
The common man, however, is poor.
He has to live in a dark hole, breathe factory
smoke, eat bad food, waste time at bus-stops and
overwork. He cannot see the beauties of nature.
He is on the run from down to dusk. He goes to
bed worried and tired.
Many young city-dwellers find
harmful attractions in the hotel, the cinema,
the race-course and such places. They fall into
bad company. They begin to smoke, drink and gamble.
Sometimes they become criminals.
