Last
Monday was our Annual Prize Distribution Day.
A famous scientist was our chief guest. He took
his seat on the stage in the central hall.
We sang the school prayers. Then
the principle introduced the chief guest to the
pupils and their guardians. He read out the annual
report. Then the chief guest rose to speak. He
was satisfied with the progress of the school.
He praised the pupils and the teachers. He gave
us some good advice. He sat down. We clapped.
Then the prize-winners went to
the chief guest one by one. The chief guest gave
away the prizes. I was a prize-winner. I went
to the chief guest six times to receive my prizes.
There were loud cheers from the audience. My parents
were present. They were proud of me. Then we sang
the National Anthem. The function was over.
