Our summer vacation began. My school arranged a tour. I joined it. There were two special buses. We were eighty students. We had three teachers with us.

We started from my city for Junagadh one early morning. We passed through Viramgam, Surendranagar, Rajkot and other places. We arrived at Junagadh the same evening. Next day we saw Narsinh Mehta’s ‘Choro’, Sakkar Baug, Upparkot, Ashoka’s Stone inscription, Datar’s Peak and Wilingdon Dam. Then we went up the famous Girnar mountain. We saw the wonderful Jain temples and the Ambaji temple.

From Junagadh we went to Veraval. We went along the wonderful ‘Lili Nagher’ or green strip. At the way we visited the holiday camp at chorvad. At Veraval we saw the great Somnath temple and the Bhalaka Tirth temple. We returned home after a very interesting tour of five days.
