I
visited the big exhibition in town last Saturday
afternoon. My two brothers and three sisters were
with me. There was a big crowd at the gate. W
bought our tickets with great difficulty. We went
in. There was great noise and bustle inside.
We saw many stalls. They contained
many kinds of goods. We saw metal, wood and ivory
carvings. We saw stuffed birds and animals. We
saw all kinds of cloths, pottery, crockery, glassware,
brassware, machinetools, farming tools and many
other things. We found the modern fighting weapons
very interesting. A section of the exhibition
showed models of our various projects. They gave
us a clear idea of the work which our country
has been doing. We could imagine what India would
be when these projects are completed.
We found many pleasures in the exhibition, too.
There were cinema shows, magic shows, joy-rides,
giant-wheels, merry-go-rounds, etc. There were
some vary nice refreshment-stalls. We bought a
few things. We ate "bhel-puri" and chocolate
ice-cream. It was late at night when we came home.
We felt happy and gay.
