Ours
is an age of science. Today we depend for our
life on many inventions of science. These inventions
are the wonders of science.
The motor-car, the motor-boat,
the motor-scooter, the electric tram, the electric
trolley, the electric train, the jet plane and
the nuclear ships are the wonders of our transport.
The telegraph, the telephone, the wireless, the
radio, the teleprinter, Telstar and the television
set are the marvels of modern communication. News
and views go round the globe today with lightning
speed.
Airconditioning, refrigeration,
man-made fibres and nuclear devices have changed
our lives. There is no branch of science without
its growing number of wonderful inventions. Among
the latest of these wonders is the spaceship.
Man has landed on the moon. He will go one day
to some distant planet. There is now no limit
to his powers.
